
Spaghetti Sauce (Szubski's Long Sauce)
Ingredients
- 1 pkg Pork Ribs
- 1 pkg Italian Sausage
- 2 lbs Meatballs see recipe below
- 2 cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 sm can tomato paste
- ½ chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- Basil - lots
- Oregano - lots
- 1-2 cloves
- 2-3 bay leaves
Instructions

In a large sauce pan, brown meat in olive oil. Sauté onion and garlic once meat is brown. Add tomato sauce & paste along with 2 lg cans of water. Add seasonings. Cook over low heat 4 - 6 hours until thick, stirring throughout.

Meatballs

2 lbs ground beef

1 C bread crumbs

½ C milk

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

2 eggs

4 garlic cloves

Oregano

Basil

Italian Seasoning

Mix all ingredients. Make into 1 ½ - 2 inch balls. Fry in olive oil over medium heat turning frequently until brown on all sides and cooked through. (I smash with a fork as Grammie Rose does) When all balls are made and in the sauce, spoon a bit of sauce into the frying pan to soak up the flavors. Empty the frying pan of goodness into the sauce pan, using a rubber spatula to get every drop!
