Ingredients

  • 1 C margarine or butter softened
  • 1/2 C powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/4 C flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 C finely chopped nuts
  • Powdered or colored sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400°. Mix margarine, 1/2 C powdered sugar and the vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and nuts. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set but not brown, 8-9 min. Roll in powdered sugar while warm; cool. Roll in powdered sugar again. About 4 doz.
