French Apple Pie Cookies Bars

Course Pie

Ingredients

  • Mix together:
  • 5 C peeled sliced tart apples
  • 3/4 C sugar
  • 2 T flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 T butter or marg. - dot
  • Completely foolproof pie crust

Instructions

  1. Roll out 1/2 of dough - place in 10-15" cookie pan. Spread apple mixture on crust. Dot with butter. Roll out the other 1/2 of dough. Place on top of apples. Bake at 375° about 35 min. till golden brown. Cool. Spread or drizzle glaze over top. (1 C powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp butter and milk to desired consistency)
