Easy Oven-Fried Chicken


  • 1/4 C shortening part butter
  • Seasoned flour*
  • 1 in frying chickenpieces
  • *Seasoned Flour
  • 1/2 C flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika


  1. Heat oven to 425°. Melt the fat in a shallow baking pan in oven. Wash and dry chicken. Place seasoned flour in paper sack and shake on chicken pieces. Arrange floured chicken skin-side down in baking pan in single layer. Bake 45 min. Turn skin-side up and continue baking about 15 min, until tender. Serve hot with pan gravy.
