Cheese-y Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 6 Pork Chops
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • ½ C dry bread crumbs
  • ¼ C olive oil
  • 2 T water
  • 6 T ketchup
  • Cheese Sauce
  • ½ C finely shredded cheese
  • Paprika
  • in Dip pork chops into eggs; coat with bread crumbs. Brown porkolive oil over medium heat. Add water and reduce heat. Cover and cook over low heat until done about 30 min.
  • Cheese Sauce
  • 2 T butter
  • 2 T flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 C chicken broth
  • 1 C half and half
  • 1 C finely shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in small saucepan. Blend in flour, salt, nutmeg & cayenne pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Stir in broth and half-and-half. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in cheese until melted.
  2. Pulling it all together
  3. Arrange cooked pork in a rectangular baking dish. Top each piece with 1 T Ketchup. Spoon cheese sauce on and around pork. Sprinkle cheese and paprika over the top. Broil from 6-7 inches away from heat until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbly. Only takes a few minutes.
