- 8 lbs stewing beef marinate in wine overnight
- 1 #10 can tomatoes
- 1 lg Bermuda onion
- 3 cans whole small onions
- 1/2 #10 can green beans
- 1 lb carrots
- 1/2 C dry sherry
- 1 T salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 T garlic salt
- Kitchen Bouquet
- 1/8 tsp oregano
- 1 T Accent
Sauté onion (sliced) in hot oil.
Sauté beef; add Kitchen Bouquet for color.
Simmer for 1 hour, add tomatoes drained & cut up.
Reserve liquid for gravy.
Add seasonings & simmer for 1 hr.
Thicken with flour paste made with tomato juice.
Add potatoes, carrots, simmer till tender, add beans & canned onions & simmer till heated through.
