Applesauce

Course Appetizer, Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 med cooking apples pared, quartered and cored
  • 1 C water
  • 1/2 C brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg opt

Instructions

  1. Heat apples and water over mod heat to boiling.
  2. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring occasionally, 5-10 min or until tender.
  3. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Heat to boiling.
